Items for Reuse

If you would rather see some of your items go to a good home than be thrown away, then please deposit them in the 'reuse drop off area' at your local Household Waste Recyling Centre. These will then be taken away to be sold at an off site reuse shop.

The off-site reuse shops contribute towards the running costs of the recycling centres. The reuse shops allow you to purchase reusable items in a more convenient way and allows more room to recycle more of your waste at the HWRCs.

Acceptable Items

Most items are welcome, if in good condition and safe to use. Please note the following:

• Any electrical items should be in working order.
• Upholstered furniture (chairs, sofas and mattresses), must have the appropriate fire safety labels attached. 

There may also be other restrictions, please check with the reuse provider.
