The school has just concluded a capital development project to prepare for the arrival of additional children due to join us as a consequence of village expansion. We expect to grow from c.100 to 130 children on roll in the next 18 months.

Due to the retirement of the current, long-serving Head Teacher, the Governing Board wishes to appoint an enthusiastic, dedicated and committed leader, ambitious to develop the learning environment at Flore and to invest in the rich and exciting curriculum and strong values-led ethos that we feel characterises our school that has enabled children at Flore School to thrive.

Flore School is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted, November 2011) where Christian values permeate all aspects of school life and have a significant impact on the lives of the pupils (SIAMS, June 2014). This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to build on the considerable successes of the school and to enhance still further the academic and cross-curricular achievement of pupils.

We are looking for someone who will:

* Continue to raise the aspirations and ambitions of all children through a commitment to excellent teaching and the provision of a rich and varied curriculum and wider school life.

* Fully involve families, the Church and the wider community in the life of the school and the education of the children.

* Inspire and lead staff by example, fostering a culture of mutual respect and professionalism.

* Embrace and nurture the School’s Christian ethos.

We offer the right candidate:

* A dedicated and highly committed staff team.

* Children with exemplary behaviour and attendance records who are keen to learn.

* Well-maintained and recently-developed buildings and grounds.

* A healthy budgetary position.
