It's free to join the library. You can even be a virtual member and use the library's online resources from home.

We provide a huge range of services in 36 public libraries in local communities across Northamptonshire.
If you can't get to the library we can bring the library to you:
- Home Library Service
If age, illness or disability prevents you from visiting the library, we can bring books and information direct to your home.
- Mobile libraries
Visiting villages, residential homes, sheltered housing and day centres.
- Sounds Reads Service
For people with a visual impairment who enjoy reading.

Libraries will be closed for public holidays as follows:
- Friday 2nd, Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th April 2010
- Monday 3rd May 2010
- Monday 31st May 2010
- Monday 30th August 2010
- Saturday 25th, Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th December
- Saturday 1st January and Monday 3rd January 2011
