The Northamptonshire Definitive Map (and Statement) are the legal records of all the county's public rights of way (footpaths, bridleways, restricted byways and byways open to all traffic).

The Definitive Map Team are responsible for maintaining the legal integrity of the Map.

• Seasonal Byway Restrictions
  List of permanent and temporary restrictions on byways to prevent damage from vehicular use during the winter months.
  
  
• Public Path Orders
  These are permanent diversions or closures of public rights of way. Details on how to apply.
  
  
• Definitive Map Modification Orders (DMMOs)
  A DMMO is a claim for rights of way which do not appear on the Definitive Map. Details of the procedure, guidance notes and application forms.
