Alongside the rollout of the vaccine, regular testing is an essential part of the easing of restrictions as we move out of lockdown. Free, regular testing is now available to everyone over the age of 18 via rapid Lateral Flow Device (LFD) testing kits. If for any reason, you do not feel comfortable testing at home you can visit one of our
Community Testing sites.
Remember! You must book a
confirmatory PCR test if you test positive using a lateral flow device.
Who can use home test kits?
The universal home testing offer is for anyone over the age of 18 without COVID-19 symptoms (asymptomatic), and is being made available as part of the
Government Roadmap to ease national COVID-19 restrictions.
The home test kits each contain 7 tests which should last an individual 3 weeks if following the guidance to test twice a week, every 3 to 4 days.
The kits follow a self-swab and self-report process, so please take the time to read the instruction pack provided carefully before attempting your first test.
Alternatively you can
read the self-swab instructions online.
Please note: you must
report your results online, even if they are negative.
Order home test kits online
The easiest way to access home test kits is to order online via the Gov.UK website. You can order kits to be delivered to you.
