Charity link is a registered charity (no. 1078271) which works throughout Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire to help improve the lives of local people facing hardship.
They believe that all local people deserve a decent standard of living, with a right to adequate food, shelter and the means to keep warm, clean and rested – no matter what crisis, illness, disability or difficulty they may be facing. Those supported include the frail elderly, the victims of domestic violence, carers, or those with a chronic illness, disability or mental health issue. Often their basic human needs can go unmet.
They help by providing everyday items that can be taken for granted, items that may not cost much, but ones that can make a massive difference to people’s lives, both immediately and long term. They can help restore dignity, independence, hope for the future, and enable people to fulfil their potential in life.
If you are working with individuals or families who are experiencing hardship in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland or Northamptonshire, then Charity Link may be able to help. We provide essential items, such as clothing, beds, furniture, medical and mobility equipment and, in emergencies, assistance with food those in need.
Additional help includes essential household goods which improve quality of life, food vouchers, and, on occasions, small amounts of cash on a weekly basis or grants for utilities for those who have, for one reason or another, slipped through the system.
You have to be a professional or agency worker in order to complete the form.
