Learning programme for nominated individuals
Skills for Care are inviting nominated individuals in the Midlands to test a new learning programme aimed at their role. The programme has been developed by Skills for Care and Shropshire Partners in Care. The aim of the programme is to ensure nominated individuals can act with confidence to support their business to provide high-quality care and to strive for continuous improvement.
Taking place in Birmingham, over four months, participants will focus on:

|Two||Impacting on culture and leadership as a nominated individual||Tuesday 3 December 2019|
|Three||Building relationships and driving quality||Tuesday 14 January 2020|
|Four||Networking and future focus - nominated individual's role in leading change and staying ahead of the curve||Tuesday 11 February 2020|

Northamptonshire Safeguarding Adults Board (NSAB) are piloting free Adult Safeguarding e-learning modules for staff that work in the voluntary and community sector.
All training modules on offer are suitable for those working at level 1 i.e. those who have responsibility to contribute to safeguarding adults but do not have specific organisational responsibility or statutory authority to intervene.
The current courses available via this offer include:
- safeguarding adults
- Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
- domestic abuse
- decision making framework' – coming soon
