​Opening times

Registration offices are open across the county from Monday to Friday by appointment only.

Registration office

We offer the following services at our registration office in Northampton Central Library:

  • birth registrations
  • death and stillbirth registrations
  • giving notices of marriage and civil partnership
  • marriage and civil partnership registrations

Ceremony room

Our ceremony room is in the Guildhall, just a few minutes' walk away.

Northampton ceremony room 

The ceremony room can accommodate seating for up to 35 guests, with a maximum room capacity of 50.

Audio facilities

Our music player has USB (for memory sticks only, formatted as FAT32), AUX input option using our provided 5 metre long 3.5mm jack to jack cable, iPhone docking station for IPhone 5 models upwards and Bluetooth.

If you are bringing your own music on a USB or on a mobile device, can you please ensure you have a designated guest to operate this.

Disabled access and special needs

Northampton Registration Office and its ceremony room are wheelchair accessible. If you have a special need you want to let us know about (such as a disability or interpreter), please contact us once you have booked your appointment.

Car parking 

A parking permit is issued for the bridal car for ceremonies only. Car parking for guests is available at the nearby St Johns multi-storey car park.
