The Kingswood Community Nursery is a satellite nursery provision led by Pen Green senior staff and governors. Priority places are allocated for children eligible for two year funding, parents may choose to take their child’s three and four year-old universal funded entitlement in the provision also.
The nursery morning session runs from 9am to 12noon and the afternoon session runs from 1pm to 4pm.The nursery operates Monday-Friday during term time only.
The indoor and outdoor environments provide safe (and emotionally containing) spaces and high-quality learning experiences. The staff will observe and play alongside the children to support them with their learning and development - giving the children the opportunity to play and socialise with their peers. The staff are also able to book the use of shared spaces within the Kingswood Children’s Centre including a Sensory Room and Water Room.
Kingswood has a multi-disciplinary staff team that includes staff with backgrounds in Early Years and Family Support. The staff within the nursery are qualified to Level 3 as a minimum. All nursery staff will use the early years foundation stage (EYFS) to support them with children’s learning and development.
The Kingswood Children's Centre offer a range of support to families of children from birth to 5 years old. A range of groups is on offer throughout the week including Social Babies, Drop-in groups, and Baby Massage.
