Children's Hearing Services Working Groups (CHSWGs) are based in local authority areas, and aim to ensure that all services designed to support deaf children and their families work in a co-coordinated way. Each group includes representatives from health, social services, education, the local voluntary sector, and (crucially) local parents of deaf children who contribute a unique perspective.
Complaints and Compliments
All services need feedback to maintain and improve quality services. If you have received a good service, please do try to let the providers know what you thought was good and why. However, sometimes it may be necessary to complain. Individual organisations should provide you with information about their procedures if you ask. The CHSWG welcomes general suggestions about how services might be improved but are not able to deal with specific complaints.
Meetings
The Northamptonshire CHSWG meets three times a year. The venue switches between Northampton and Kettering. It is normally held on a Wednesday morning (10am-12pm).
Are you interested in joining a parent steering group to discuss issues happening in Northamptonshire for deaf and hearing impaired children? Please contact CHSWG directly for further information.
