The Sea Cadets is a national charity, which offers opportunities to young people on and off the water, helping to boost their confidence and self-belief.
At Rushden, the mission is to inspire local youngsters to broaden their horizons, gaining confidence, skills for life and values through a broad range of fun and challenging activities,
delivered by a team of volunteers, and based on the
customs and traditions of the Naval Service.
Special Educational Needs
All units will do their best to accommodate any children with special needs. The unit will take cadets on board with special needs subject to the restrictions bounding the individuals personal safety and the safety of others. Please speak to the Commanding Officer if you have a child that requires special attention.
The unit has cadets with learning difficulties, ADHD and other disorders. The unit requests that any special requirements are made clear on the cadets joining form SCC Form P10 and on the SCCT1 should the cadet participate in activities outside of the unit.
Tuesday: Junior Cadets (6.30pm to 8.30pm) age 10 to 11 years
Friday: Sea Cadets (7.00pm to 9.00pm) age 12 to 18 years

Additional activities conducted at other times, including some weekends and during the school holidays
