Northampton Sea Cadets are part of the UK's largest maritime youth charity. Cadets go to sea, learn to sail and do adventure training, all on a nautical theme, plus get extra skills to give you a head start in life.
Sea Cadets is an inclusive organisation that helps young people to achieve their potential by offering a range of social and educational opportunities. We are committed to equality of opportunity for young people and adults alike. We recognise diversity within our membership and regard it as one of our greatest strengths.
Sea Cadets is open to all regardless of sex, religion, race, and ability, within the bounds of safety to themselves and others. They seek to ensure that there are no barriers for young people to have the opportunity to be a Sea Cadet.
All units will do their very best to accommodate any children with special needs. The unit will take cadets on board with special needs subject to the restrictions bounding the individuals personal safety and the safety of others. Please speak to the Commanding Officer if you have a child that requires special attention.
Cadets with learning difficulties, ADHD and other disorders are welcomed, parents must make clear any special requirements on the cadets joining form SCC Form P10 and on the SCCT1 for activities outside of the unit.
