VR Therapies is a Northampton based social enterprise for children with special needs and adults with disabilities providing 'virtual reality' as an immersive therapeutic technology.
They have their own premises in Northampton which are fully accessible.
Hydrotherapy room:
The hydrotherapy room has hydro pools where you can use underwater VR kits to enable you to swim with dolphins in the sea and look at the scenery around you on the sea bed. To explore and swim freely and exercise various parts of your body which enables you to do physio in a discreet and fun way.
For many people, warm waters offer relaxation, freedom from pain and a brief escape from the ailments that stops them moving freely the rest of the time.
VR multi-sensory:
In the VR multi-sensory room you can use VR to explore different and exciting virtual reality experiences while using the immersive activity equipment. You can fly to the space centre and explore inside, fly over woodland, visit other countries, stroll along a beach, ride a horse, enjoy painting with our VR art therapy and more.
The VR activity room: offers experiences, games and racing simulation.
The centre is open to everyone in the wider community and is inclusive to all.
They offer community based sessions for individuals or group sessions, which support a number of therapies from physiotherapy to art therapy to walking down memory lane and more.
All sessions provided at their premises or in the community are run by experienced specialist VR therapists.
