Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is an NHS initiative to provide more psychotherapy to the general population.
In Northamptonshire, the IAPT service helps people with mild to moderate depression and/or an anxiety disorder. They may be offered a support group, computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), online wellbeing groups, or face-to-face support.
People can access the service by calling 0300 999 1616 (9am-5pm weekdays) or by filling in the online form. Referrals can also be made by GPs.
