This service offers full diagnostic assessments for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and asperger syndrome. It also offers post-diagnosis support.

The team helps develop coping strategies for the patient and their families. It promotes independent living skills and offers support with further education and employment. It works with families to give them all the information they need. It also runs workshops where families can learn more.

The team has many highly-skilled professionals, including clinical psychologists, clinical nurse specialists, occupational therapists, and support workers.

Who is this service for? The Children and Young People's ADHD and ASD Service provides diagnosis and treatment for children aged 5-18 years-old with ADHD, ASD, and Asperger’s Syndrome. Any child in secondary school who has ADHD and/or ASD will be referred to this service.

How to access this service: Referrals can be made by health, social care, and education professionals via the Children and Young People's Referral Management Centre (RMC). Please note: this service does not accept referrals from parents.
