On Track Education (Silverstone) is an independent special school with places for up to 40 pupils aged 11-19 years with a range of social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
Pupils often have histories of educational failure, poor attendance and/or exclusion from mainstream education. Many have special educational needs (including behavioural, emotional, mental health and social difficulties) and some have histories of severe challenging behaviour. Some pupils have additional conditions such as specific learning difficulties (like dyslexia), social communication difficulties, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or autism (ASD).
The school supports pupils to fulfil their potential by giving them unconditional support, providing them with good quality teaching, and empowering them to effectively manage their own behaviour. Its staff team work together to build and maintain positive professional relationships with all pupils, treating each pupil with tolerance and respect. THRIVE principles underpin the curriculum to support the optimal social and emotional development of pupils.
On Track Education (Silverstone) offers a wide range of subjects and experiences to ensure pupils are
motivated to succeed. It currently offer a range of accredited qualifications, including:
- GCSEs: English, English Literature, Mathematics, Science (double or single award), Art, Geography, History, Spanish, Computer Science, and PE.
- BTEC EL/L1/L2: Cookery, Health and Social Care, Hair and Beauty, Construction, and Motor Vehicles.
- European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) - for Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
