The CE Academy's Cromwell Campus is a boys-only 'alternative education provision.' It teaches Key Stage 4 (ages 14-16, or Years 9-11).
The CE Academy provides alternative education for young people who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, pregnant, school-age mothers, or dual-registered.
They respond to the educational needs of pupils who would otherwise be attending mainstream or special schools, and pupils take the appropriate external examinations.
Pupils have personalised learning plans. Academic expectations are high and related to pupils’ abilities.
Pupils who are at risk of exclusion, pregnant, school-age mothers, or dual-registered can be referred to the academy by their school.
Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils can be referred to the academy by their school or by Northamptonshire County Council.
Permanently excluded pupils can be referred by the County Council’s Educational Inclusion and Partnerships (EIP) Team.
