Service description:
Sweet Futures offer work training placements at ‘The Shop’ for young people with additional needs. They can help bridge the gap between education and real work. Work placements can help build confidence and self-esteem through practical learning in a workplace.
Based in a real sweet shop in Kettering town centre, The Shop provides real business, real customers, and real opportunities for young people to learn all aspects of the work environment.
Sweet Futures aim to build the skills, confidence, and self-esteem of young people so they can enter the workplace with confidence. The goal is for service-users to have the ability to enter employment at the end of their placement. They also provide outreach services to local schools, colleges, and other education settings.
