Service description:

Community transport to medically related appointments, for elderly & disabled people living in the Borough of Northampton or Grange Park and who are unable to use public transport.

The scheme also offers transport to other services such as well-being groups (e.g. illness prevention exercises, support groups, carers groups, specific medical illness groups including Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson's etc)

Eligible passengers can also be taken to a library to access services and well-being groups held there.

Additionally if a passenger has a specific request they can discuss that with the car scheme coordinator.

Drivers volunteer Monday - Friday 8am -5pm.

In addition to an annual membership fee, there is typically a 'per journey' cost. Some schemes accept concessionary bus passes to cover the 'per journey' cost. There is likely to be a minimum charge.
