Learning a new language can be great fun. Our courses cover learning phrases for holidays to basic conversation, to intermediate level to speaking fluently.

Our expert and qualified tutors will take learners through course lessons learning grammar and words to converse and even play games in the language.

Which language course is right for me?

There are two parts to language courses and it is advisable to enrol for part 1 and part 2. If you feel you have sufficient knowledge to enrol only on part 2, please call the number below with details of your experience. We will contact the tutor who may wish to give you an informal assessment to check if the course is right for you.

Year 1 parts 1 and 2 or introduction to….

No previous knowledge is required. You will learn to communicate simply but effectively in everyday situations such as shopping, travelling and eating out.

Year 2 parts 1 and 2

These courses are suitable for those who have completed 40 hours or year 1 of learning, or have a “rusty” GCSE or equivalent knowledge of the language. You will learn how to talk about past and future events and will extend your general vocabulary.

Year 3 accredited parts 1 and 2 (WJEC)

These courses are suitable for those who have completed. 80 hours or equivalent knowledge of the language, see year 1 and 2. You will be developing your vocabulary, conversation and discussion skills. Accreditation is through assessments only and taken during the course.

Year 4 parts 1 and 2

These courses are suitable for learners who want to further their language learning skills and have a good knowledge already (see above).

Conversational Advanced part 1 and 2

These are conversation courses for those with a good knowledge, fluency in the language and who are able to talk about general topics in different situations. The classes are for those who have at least Year 3 / 4 level or recent GCSE level, grade A* to B and want to practice speaking skills especially.

If you find that the course you have enrolled on is unsuitable, you may be able to transfer to another if available.
