Service description:
Ups n Downs is a parent led support group for children and families affected by Down Syndrome. Offers help and advice, greater awareness and PADS (Positive Attitudes towards Down Syndrome) packs are available in GPs Surgeries and local Hospitals.

This group also ensures that information is available to new Mum’s who have been given a diagnosis that their baby has Down Syndrome to ensure they have current information and access to support to make informed choices.

Additional information:
Focus on therapeutic side to support with private speech and language (monthly). There is also annual bike ride and Charity Dinner at Wicksteed Park on 23rd March 2019, which coincides with Downs Syndrome Awareness Week. Together with this fundraising, a number of activities to support children’s development such as Sing and Sign, 1:1 Swimming lessons, Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy.
