Service description:
Women and their children fleeing an abusive partner or family member are able to come to a place where they are safe and can receive support from a dedicated support worker who will help them on their path to a new life free from abuse.
Following on from refuge, we are able to offer a comprehensive move on and support service for women leaving refuge and beginning a new independent life.
13 room refuge in Northampton. Crisis refuge provision. Restored Programme provided in refuge and for those in the community. Restored is a holistic recovery programme from the impact of domestic abuse and includes: Domestic Abuse group work such as Stay Free, Freedom, Domestic Abuse Recovering Together (DART), Domestic Abuse for Youth (DAY), educational and self esteem raising activities, therapeutic interventions from our Occupational Therapy team and Counsellors. There is also a Change programme for perpetrators, the Evolve Programme.
Domestic abuse group work can be accessed independently from the Restored programme as stand alone activities.”
