Opportunity Title: Volunteer Befriender and Supporter for a Child or Young Person
Opportunity description:
Are you looking for a rewarding challenge? Are you able to give your time to support and befriend a child or young person who is in care and has little or no contact with their family? Then Northamptonshire Independent Visitors Service offers you this opportunity. For just a few hours once a fortnight you can give friendship and support to a young person who is in the care of Northamptonshire Local Authority and participate in activities and interests with them.
A minimum commitment of 2 years is required.
Volunteers receive training, expenses and supervision for activities and travel.
