Pen Green Lane,
Pen Green Centre,
Parents (mothers and/or fathers) to bring their child (0-3rd birthday) each week to play together for an hour and a half.
For parents and children to learn more about what interests the child shows in their play.
For children to have the opportunity to be filmed with their parent in the session, and for the parent to watch that film with staff to discuss how their child is developing and communicating.
For parents to talk to staff about anything regarding their child and their development, so parents can increase their confidence in parenting.
To meet with other families, each week, and share ideas, news and a hot drink!
A parent that attended the group from a discussion with a worker at Growing Together said, “If I’m angry at bedtime, he won’t settle. I’ve learnt that if I can smile at him, it works better.”
We will provide a space for any parent, with their child (0-3rd Birthday), to come and play together each week, as well as meet other parents and children.
A parent in the group explained it is helpful “Seeing others’ children go through stages and grow each week.”
Pen Green have completed the Portage Stamp of Approval and can therefore offer specialist support for children within their nursery provision (from 9-months to school-age).
