Service description:
We offer a wide range of respite and short term breaks for people with autistic spectrum conditions and their families.
We understand that sometimes the day to day experiences of living with autism can present challenges, which if not managed effectively, can lead to exhaustion and frustration and the possibility of individuals needing full time support outside of the family home.
Our respite care program is one way of helping families manage these challenges by offering regular time-limited breaks in a safe and supportive environment.
To minimise disruption as much as possible, we work with families to understand their home routines and replicate these in the home as far as achievable. We involve our service users in choosing from the wide range of activities on offer in order to develop individual programs of activities throughout their stay with us.
