Service description:
We are very proud that Conductive Education is a specialism of our school and we are one of the few schools in the country able to offer this to children with physical difficulties. We employ two teacher / conductors trained at the Peto Institute in Hungary and many of our support staff have received specialist training themselves.
Our work is based on the principles of Conductive Education and included in the daily timetable. All children who will benefit from this approach take part in these sessions. Conductive Education encourages pupils to learn to control their movements and to use these movements to assist daily living skills.
We run a ‘School for Parents’ which enables children from 10 months to 4 years to join us weekly for half a day to work with one of our teacher / 3 conductors and parents to begin to develop their physical skills as early as possible.
