Site monitoring and enforcement

We are responsible for carrying out monitoring of existing mineral extraction and waste disposal sites and enforcement of planning control including unauthorised development, tipping or breaches of existing planning permissions, relating to minerals and waste development.

You can pay online if you have been invoiced for one or more chargeable site monitoring visits under the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications, Deemed Applications, Requests and Site Visits) (England) Regulations 2012

How to report any suspected unauthorised developments or breaches

To report any suspected unauthorised developments or breaches of existing planning permissions relating to minerals and waste development please email developmentcontrol@northamptonshire.gov.uk.

How to appeal

If a planning applicant does not agree with the decision made by the planning authority, they can appeal to the Planning inspectorate.

It should be noted that only an applicant can appeal against a decision. Third parties cannot appeal against decisions.
