Suicide prevention

In Northamptonshire, approximately 71 individuals take their own life each year. We believe that every death by suicide is one too many and that suicide prevention should be a priority for us all.

The Suicide Prevention Steering Group (SPSG) has been established to encourage a partnership-based approach to reduce the deaths by suicide seen in Northamptonshire. The group is led by Northamptonshire's Public Health Team, and together, the group have coordinated the production of the latest suicide prevention strategy.

The group aims to reduce the rate of suicide and self-harm within Northamptonshire and provide a forum for successful multi-agency partnership working at strategic and operational level. Find the organisations represented in the SPSG below:
