Purpose of the role

The Emergency Control Centre is the hub of all activities during an emergency. As a volunteer here you will assist staff in the running of the NCC Emergency Control Centre or other incident room being used. If you fancy working in the heart of the response, have skills such as computing? (including GIS) and keep a level head in a busy atmosphere this will be for you!

 

What tasks may be involved?

  • Duties will vary depending upon the requirements of the emergency and the Incident Room

What qualities or skills would be useful?

  • Good communication skills
  • Experience of using IT
  • Ability to work in a busy environment

What would the benefits be for me?

  • Gain experience of working with the various agencies and emergency services
  • Supporting the community of Northamptonshire in a time of need
  • Gaining new skills and knowledge
