Will my idea fly: determining routes to market for technology based ideas

In this seminar John Pearson will explore the fundamentals of  starting up a business using  a variety of tools. The format will be flexible and will allow participants to think about the basic building blocks of their own idea and  work up an outline plan, or if their project is more advanced use the session as a check list exercise. There is also the option for the group to work together on an idea as a case study. Topics covered will include: customers and buying motivations, product or service development, logistics and financials.

The presenter has wide experience gained through developing new businesses in the science and technology area, running start ups and working in marketing for major multinational companies such as Mars and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. He also worked for 7 years at the University of Birmingham helping and mentoring academic inventors, bringing their ideas to fruition across all areas including engineering, electronics, language learning and medicine.
