Coronavirus update - Libraries phased reopening

Following Government guidance 7 libraries will reopen from Monday 6 July. The normal range of activities and browsing will not be possible at this stage of reopening and customers visiting the library may find they need to wait outside to be assisted by staff.

There's more to the library than you think. Lots of our services for the community rely on support from our volunteers. What could you do?

How do you become a volunteer?

Search the Get Involved Hub for all current library volunteering vacancies.

You can apply online to register your interest in an opportunity. There is an interview process and all successful volunteers will be asked to supply details of referees. Volunteers for some roles are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

We will provide any training that is necessary to assist in volunteering roles.
