Enhanced partnerships

​In support of the Government's National Bus Strategy for England Bus Back Better North Northamptonshire Council and West Northamptonshire Council have both committed to develop a Bus Service Improvement Plan by the end of October 2021and to enter into Enhanced Partnerships with local bus operators by April 2022.

Notice of Intent to Prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and Schemes

At its Cabinet meeting on 8 June 2021, West Northamptonshire Council gave approval to proceed with the development of an Enhanced Partnership. The commencement of this is confirmed through this notice of the intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Schemes, as required and set out in section 138F of the Transport Act 2000.

At its Executive meeting on 22 June 2021, North Northamptonshire Council gave approval to proceed with the development of an Enhanced Partnership. The commencement of this is confirmed through this notice of the intention to prepare an Enhanced Partnership Plan and accompanying Enhanced Partnership Schemes, as required and set out in section 138F of the Transport Act 2000.

Public consultation

West Northamptonshire Council and North Northamptonshire Council are currently consulting on priorities for bus service improvements across West and North Northamptonshire. Details of the consultation and how to respond can be found on the West Northamptonshire Council Consultation Hub. The consultation closes on 10 October 2021.
