Cycling at country parks

Northamptonshire County Council’s award-winning country parks each have their own unique character and something to offer for everyone. Brixworth Country Park and the Brampton Valley Way offer superb car free cycling routes.

Brampton Valley Way

Arguably the jewel of Northamptonshire’s leisure cycling routes, this 14 mile linear route linking Northampton with Market Harborough runs along a former rail line and passes through 2 tunnels (good lights recommended).  It showcases beautifully the surrounding countryside and wildlife and, according to the Sustrans website, it is one of the longest former railway line cycle tracks in the country – a must!

Visit our Country Parks section for more details about the Brampton Valley Way.
