The HWRCs are extremely busy and visitor numbers are high. Please be aware that the sites may temporarily close throughout the day to disperse traffic.

Vehicles that continue to queue and obstruct the approach roads may be asked to return to the site at a different time. Please consider if your visit is absolutely necessary.

Webcam

The webcam link for the HWRC sites has been temporarily removed.

The public webcam images currently show a reduced number of people on site following social distancing measures, which gives a false indication of how busy the sites are. They do not show the roads outside the sites and any queues that may be there.​

Bank holiday opening times

Brixworth Household Waste Recycling Centre is open on bank holidays, except where these fall on the centre's closed days (Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

The site will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day, and will close at 2pm on Christmas Eve (depending on which day Christmas Eve falls on).

Restrictions

Vehicles are restricted to a maximum weight limit of 3.5 tonnes.

Pedestrians

We are currently unable to accept pedestrian access to any of the sites.

Compost

For sale at this site for £3.75 per 25 litre bag.

Vans and trailers

All commercial-type vehicles (including hired) need an e-permit to access the site.
