Aim of Course:
Working from a nude life model, you will create the human form in clay and gain new skills, knowledge and confidence in a positive atmosphere.
Learning Outcomes:
(By the end of the course you should be able to)
a) Formulate a strategy for ‘looking’ at the human form
b) Use sculpting tools
c) Discuss contemporary sculptural works with the group
d) Continue with projects or ideas started in a previous course with this tutor
e) Discuss and develop a personal approach and style towards your work
How will the course be taught?:
Demonstration, one-to-one tuition and practical work. General class discussion and demonstrations. Extensive use of MOODLE (virtual learning platform)
Do I need any prior knowledge or qualifications?:
You need prior experience of working with a life model. See further information below.
What do I need to bring?:
Apron, or clothes and shoes that can get messy. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided at a cost. Bakers are especially welcomed to the class!
