To accommodate the new Northampton International Academy, highways improvements are needed outside the Barrack Road site.

The improvements will result in better accessibility and safety for pupils and parents and will also benefit road users.

New traffic signals will feature the latest method of control which will help improve congestion and flow within the area by detecting pedestrian movement and queuing traffic.

The works are being carried out by Northamptonshire Highways on behalf of the Northampton International Academy and need to be completed prior to the Academy opening in September 2018.
